WMU FOOTBALL HEADS TO IOWA

This week the Western Michigan Broncos head to Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes. Considering how well this season was supposed to go (MAC WEST Title, MAC Title, Bowl Game) the Iowa game could salvage what has been a difficult season for the Broncos.

Iowa comes into the game 6-5 on the season only hoping to assure themselves a spot in a lower level bowl game, while the Broncos have an oppurtunity to win their final two games against a Big Ten foe and MAC newcomer Temple.

Most Bronco fans are going to operate under the assumption that Iowa is too much for the Broncos to handle but let's face it this team has dealt with adversity all season long why should it end here?

Why should WMU fold after going through so much?

The three BCS Conference losses to West Virginia, Indiana and Missouri to begin the season. The last second Akron punt return for a touch or even Jamarko Simmons being tossed from the Central Michigan game.

At this point the Broncos are in search of building an identity for next season...why can't it at Iowa?

Nothing to lose...Tons to gain.
